How to Create an Invoice Online

GST Invoice Format - Details to Include

A proper GST tax invoice in India generally includes the following details:

  • Name, address and GSTIN of the supplier
  • Invoice number (unique, consecutive) and date of issue
  • Name, address and GSTIN of the recipient (if registered)
  • HSN code for goods or SAC code for services
  • Description, quantity and unit of goods or services
  • Taxable value after discount
  • Rate and amount of CGST, SGST / UTGST or IGST and cess
  • Place of supply (state name) for inter-state supply
  • Signature or digital signature of the supplier or authorised person
